ActionSA welcomes new members as it strengthens KZN support

ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Chairperson Zwakele Mncwango said his party is ready to “work for the people of South Africa” as he welcomed members into ActionSA, in Durban, while flanked by party leader Herman Mashaba.

Mncwango said the politicians have previously held prominent positions and have a clear mandate of how they will take ActionSA “to another level”.

Mbuyiseni Phoswa, who has served in the Democratic Alliance (DA) as a councillor and as chief whip for 10 years, has promised to serve in ActonSA with dedication to develop it locally and nationally.

Sboniso Mabika from the Umkhanyakude municipality said it was always his dream to work with Mncwango. He also said ActionSA’s leader has not been apologetic in stating that he will never work with the ruling African National Congress (ANC).

Another former DA councillor Derrick Ram from the Ixopo municipality said he believes that he is in the right place at the right time.

Former African Transformation Movement spokesperson Sibusiso Mncwabe said change is necessary in South Africa.

He said some of the political leaders lack patriotism, unlike Mashaba.

“We are not here to add numbers but to add value to produce more ethical leaders. I don’t doubt my decision,” he said.

Mashaba said that he was humbled that such prominent leaders resolved to join ActionSA.

“I did not join politics to serve political parties but the vulnerable and the marginalised,” he said.

Mashaba said he had lived half of his life in abject poverty and added that “when the ANC started to destroy South Africa” he decided to roll up his sleeves and work for the country.

“We have a huge responsibility come 2024 to remove the ANC,” he stressed.

He urged new members to strive to serve South Africans regardless of their political affiliations.

He said it is his dream to ensure that education for a child in Umlazi and KwaMashu is the same as it is for a child in Morningside.

He referred to Mcwango as the party’s “superstar” for his role in attracting prominent and ethical leaders into the party to realise the project of rebuilding South Africa.

Mashaba warned the new members that the upcoming project is not about positions but that it is about serving society.
