GAUTENG PREMIER AND SATEFY AND SECURITY MINISTER TO VISIT GREENFIELDS
Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa and Minister of Safety and Security Steve Tshwete will visit the Greenfields community on Tuesday 25 July 2000 at 13h30. The meeting is part of a process initiated by the Provincial Government to find a lasting solution to the problems of Greenfields, which were characterized by violent clashes by members of the community resulting in the loss of life and damage to property. Both the Minister and the Premier will address the community at a mass meeting to be held at the Greenfields Sports Ground at 14h00. MEC for Safety and Liaison Nomvula Mokonyane will also attend.
