HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA
REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE PERFORMANCE OF COMMUNITY SERVICE BY PERSONS REGISTERING IN TERMS OF THE HEALTH PROFESSIONS ACT, 1974: AMENDMENT
The Minister of Health has, in terms of section 61 (1) (a) of the Health Professions Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974), in consultation with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, made the regulations in the Schedule.
SCHEDULE
Definitions
- In these regulations "the Regulations" means the regulations published under Government Notice No. R 688 of 15 May 1998 as amended by Government Notice No. 8498 of 19 May 2000.
Amendment of regulation 2.1 of the Regulations
- Regulation 2.1 of the regulations is hereby amended by the addition after paragraph (b), of the following paragraphs:
"(c) radiography;
(d) physiotherapy;
(e) speech, language and hearing therapy;
(f) occupational therapy;
(g) environmental health;
(h) dietetics; and
(i) clinical psychology."
Note: Community service in respect of the above professions is intended to start In the year 2003.
