AMENDMENT OF THE RULES OF THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND LAW, 1996

Under the powers vested in me under section 29 and 6A of the Government Employees Pension Law, 1996 (Proclamation 21 of 1996),I hereby amend the Rules of the Government Employees Pension Law, 1996, as set out in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

Definitions

1. In this Schedule, unless the content indicates otherwise,

1.1 "commencement date" shall mean the date on which this Schedule comes into operation;

1.2 "the Rules" shall mean the Rules made in terms of the Government Employees Pension Law, 1996 (Proclamation 21 of 1996).

Amendment of rule 7 of the Rules

2. Rule 7.3 is hereby deleted.

Commencement date

3. The deletion of rule 7.3 of the Rules, shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 2000.
