BASIC CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT ACT, NO 75 of 1997
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS COMMISSION: INVESTIGATION INTO ESTABLISHING RATES OF ALLOWANCES AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR LEARNERSHIPS IN SOUTH AFRICA
In terms of section 52(1) of the above mentioned Act read with section 18(3) of the Skills Development Act, No 97 of 1999, I, Membathisi Shepherd Mdladlana, Minister of Labour hereby direct the Director General of the Department of Labour to investigate the conditions of employment and rates of allowances for learners in all sectors where Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA's) have been established.
The terms of reference for this investigation shall be:
To investigate terms and conditions of employment as well as rates of allowances of learners where learnerships are established in terms of the Skills Development Act, Act 97 of 1999
I give notice in terms of section 52(3) of the Basic Conditions of employment Act , of the commencement of the said investigation and invite representation by interested persons. Such representation to the Employment Conditions Commission should reach:
