DETERMINATION OF SALARIES OF PROSECUTORS FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE NATIONAL PROSECUTING AUTHORITY ACT, 1998

I, Abdulah Mohamed Omar, Minister of Justice, acting under section 18(1) of the National Prosecuting Authority Act, 1998 (Act No. 32 of 1998), hereby determine, as indicated in the Schedule, the salaries payable to prosecutors with effect from 1 December 1998.

SCHEDULE

SALARIES APPLICABLE TO PROSECUTORS

  1. Subject to paragraph 2, an annual salary is payable as specified in Column B to prosecutors who on 1 December 1998 were paid an annual salary in accordance with the annual salary specified in Column A hereunder:

  1. To prosecutors who on 31 March 1999 had eighteen months' service as prosecutor, and who on 1 December 1998 were paid an annual salary in accordance with the annual salary specified in Column A hereunder, an annual salary is payable as specified in Column B.
