DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS

CORRECTION TO RADIO REGULATIONS

The Minister of Communications has approved, in terms of section 95(3) of the Telecommunications Act, 1996 (Act No. 103 of 1996), the correction in the Schedule, made by the South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in terms of section 95 of the Telecommunications Act, 1996, to the Radio Regulations, published in Government Notice No. 1676, Government Gazette No 17500 dated 18 October, 1996.

SCHEDULE

Paragraph 3 of the Radio Regulations published in the Government Notice No. 1676 in Government No. 17500 dated 18 October, 1996 is hereby amended by the substitution of the following for paragraphs 3.11 and 3.12.

"3.11 Licence fees payable by the South African National Defence Force, South African Police Services, Telkom SA Limited, Transtel Ltd and Eskom

Per MHz frequency spectrum R1540.00"

"3.12 Radio link station

  1. Single frequency link below 1000MHz
  2. Double frequency link below 1000MHz
  3. Radio link above 1000MHz calculated on the assigned bandwidth
