TRAINING BOARD FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES: DESIGNATION OF A TRADE AND AMENDMENT OF CONDITIONS OF APPRENTICESHIP

I, Membathisi Mphumzi Shepherd Mdladlana, Minister of Labour, acting in terms of section 13 of the Manpower Training Act, 1981, hereby amend with effect from the date of publication of this notice, Government Notice R. 1631 of 12 July 1991 as amended by Government Notices Nos. R. 339 of 5 March 1993, R. 137 of 28 January 1994, R. 2165 of 9 December 1994, R. 903 of 23 June 1995, R. 1217 of 18 August 1995, R. 1460 of 29 September 1995, R. 208 of 16 February 1996 and R. 1631 of 17 October 1996 by—

1. Substituting paragraph 1 (a) of the list of Trades by the following paragraph:

"(a) designate in the Local Authorities in the Republic of South Africa the undermentioned trades as trades in respect of which the Act shall apply with effect from the date of publication of this notice:

1. Auto Body Repairer;
2. Automotive Electrician;
3. Bricklayer;
4. Carpenter;
5. Carpenter and Joiner;
6. Diesel Mechanic;
7. Electrician;
8. Electronics Mechanician;
9. Fitter;
10. Fitter and Turner;
11. Motor Mechanic;
12. Painter and Decorator
13. Plater and Welder:
14. Plumber;
15. Radio Communication Mechanician;
16. Refrigeration Mechanic;
17. Signwriter;
18. Vehicle Mechanic,
19. Water Servicehand;
20. Welder.
