PROCLAMATION UNDER SECTION 20 OF THE PROMOTION OF NATIONAL UNITY AND RECONCILIATION ACT, 1995 (ACT NO. 34 OF 1995)

Notice is hereby given that amnesty in terms of Section 20(1) of the Promotion of National Unity and Reconciliation Act, 1995 (Act No. 34 of 1995), was granted-

1. on 12 January 2001 to LEON WILLIAM JOHN FLORES (identity number 5810295193004), in respect of all offences and delicts arising from the shooting incident at the house of MR IVOR JENKINS, committed at or near 269 Annette van Zyl Street, Garsfontein, Pretoria, on or about 25 August 1989;
2. on 17 January 2001 to -
   1. EUGENE DE KOCK (identity number 4901295009000);
   2. IZAK DANIEL BOSCH (identity number 590618500006);
   3. JACOBUS FRANCOIS KOK (identity number 5808195089009);
   4. LEON WILLIAM JOHN FLORES (identity number 5810295193004); and
   5. WYBRAND ANDREAS L DU TOIT (identity number 5010025025085), in respect of -

      (aa) conspiring and attempting to murder unknown members of the ANC, committed in or near Pietersburg and Manzini during or about the 1980s;
      (bb) the attempted murder of an unknown national of Swaziland, committed at or near Manzini during or about 1980; and any crime or delict flowing from the incident;

3. on 18 January 2001 to EUGENE DE KOCK (identity number 4901295009000),in respect of any offence or delict flowing from or directly associated with the disposal of the body of WELCOME KHANYILE, committed at or near Heidelberg during or about August 1992;
4. on 19 January 2001 to -
   1. ERIC GOOSEN (identity number 6401185113002), in respect of the malicious damage to a motor vehicle and a caravan which were the property of or in the possession of REV. and MRS MASON, committed at or near Johannesburg during or about the period March to April 1983;
   2. PAUL FRANCIS ERASMUS (identity number 5602145141006), in respect of-

      (aa) the harassment and intimidation of DR BEYERS NAUDE and the malicious damaging of property either owned by or in the possession of DR NAUDE, committed at or near Johannesburg during or about the period April 1977 to December 1989;
      (bb) the harassment and intimidation of MR GAVIN ANDERSON, committed at or near Johannesburg during or about March 1977;
      (cc) the harassment and intimidation of MS. SHANTY NAIDOO and the malicious damaging of property, including motor vehicles either belonging to or in the possession of MS. NAIDOO, committed at or near Johannesburg during the period of the late 1970s to the early 1980s;
      (dd) the harassment and intimidation of DR LIZ FLOYD, committed at or near Johannesburg during or about the period June 1982 to December 1988; and
      (ee) the unlawful entry and search of the premises of MR and MRS AGGETT at Somerset West, committed during April 1982 and defeating the ends of justice by submitting a false statement to the authorities with regard to such unlawful entry and search; and

   3. GARY LEON POLLOCK (identity number 6206095190000, in respect of malicious damage to a motor vehicle which was the property of or in the possession of MS BARBARA HOGAN, committed at or near Johannesburg during 1992;
5. on 22 January 2001 to -
   1. MANUEL ANTONIO OLIFANT (identity number 5901045244088);
   2. MOKELE PETER LENGENE (identity number 5601055818082);
   3. SAREL PETRUS NIENABER (identity number 3704225006008);

   2. MARTHINUS DAVID RAS (identity number 6201035019080), in respect of -

      (aa) the murder of MR RICHARD MOTASI; and
      (bb) the killing of MRS IRENE MOTASI, committed at or near Hammanskraal on or about 01 December 1987;

8. on 24 January 2001 to -
   1. JOHANNES JACOBUS VIKTOR (identity number 5703175119001), in respect of any offence or delict (or conspiracy to commit or attempt to commit such an offence or delict) directly related to various incidents of arson caused by throwing bombs or petrol bombs at houses in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, Ekangala and Pietersburg, committed during the period February to May 1986;
   2. ERIC GOOSEN (identity number 6401185113002), in respect of -

      (aa) any offence or delict committed or any conspiracy or attempt to commit such offence, directly related to or linked with-
      (bb) burglary and theft at Khanya House in Pretoria during the period December 1982 to December 1984;
      (cc) burglary and theft at Unisa, committed in or near Pretoria during or about the period January 1983 to December 1984;
      (dd) various incidents of arson caused by the throwing of bombs or petrol bombs at or into houses, committed in or near Mamelodi, Atteridgeville, Soshanguve in the district of Pretoria and at Oukasie in the district of Brits during or about 1986;
      (ee) the assault and abduction of an unknown ANC courier, committed at or near Mamelodi and Pretoria about the period June to December 1987;
      (ff) any offence or delict flowing from the smear campaign conducted against EUGENE TERREBLANCHE, committed during the period 1988 to 1989;
      (gg) burglary and theft at the Willie Marais Building in Waterkloof Ridge, Pretoria, committed during or about 1989;
      (hh) intimidation of BRIAN CURREN, IVOR JENKINS, LOUIS BREDENKAMP and ALET SCHOON and the false implication of the Wit Wolwe in the said intimidation at or near Pretoria and Centurion during or about the period August to December 1989; and
      (ii) malicious damage to the houses of the people mentioned under 7 and the burning of ALET SCHOON's car;

   3. JOSEPHUS DANIEL L COMER (identity number 471207501783), in respect of any offence or delict (or conspiracy to commit or attempt to commit such an offence or delict) directly related to various incidents of arson during 1986 caused by throwing bombs or petrol bombs at houses in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Ekangala and Atteridgeville;
   4. DEON GOUWS (identity number 6101205037005), in respect of any offence or delict (or conspiracy to commit or attempt to commit such an offence or delict) directly related to various incidents of arson caused by throwing bombs or petrol bombs at houses in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, Ekangala, Pietersburg and Tembisa, committed during the period 1986 to 1987;
   5. STEPHANUS OOSTHUIZEN (identity number 5603095107009), in respect of conspiracy to damage a house in Atteridgeville or Mamelodi, committed during the period 1986 to 1987;
   6. JAN HATTINGH CROWE (identity number 3611185012086), in respect of any offence or delict carried out relating to various incidents of arson caused by the throwing of bombs or petrol bombs at houses in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, Ekangala, Pietersburg and Tembisa, committed during 1986 to 1987; and
   7. JACQUES HECHTER (identity number 5206135129086), in respect of any offence or delict (or conspiracy to commit or attempt to commit such an offence or delict) directly related to various incidents of arson caused by throwing bombs or petrol bombs at houses in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville, Ekangala, Pietersburg and Tembisa, committed during the period 1986 and 1987;
9. on 25 January 2001 to -
   1. JACOBUS ADRIAAN VORSTER (identity number 4802205108009);
   2. SALMON JOHANNES G DU PREEZ (identity number 5311295071001); and
   3. ROBERT GRAHAM HUMPHRIES (identity number 5304135026004), in respect of -

      (aa) malicious damage to the homestead and the other property of INKOSI NGOSZI ELPHAS MTHEMBU, committed during or about 1988;
      (bb) the unlawful possession of arms, ammunition and hand-grenades; and
      (cc) defeating and obstructing the ends of justice;

10. on 26 January 2001 to -
    1. LERATO ABEL KHOTLE (date of birth 14 December 1971); and 
    2. MOALUSI MORRISON (identity number 6804155844086), in respect of -

       (aa) the attack on two policemen, JH BOTHA and GH BONILE, committed on or along the Odendaalrus/Wesselbron road;
       (bb) the attack on two policemen, MAHLOMOLA LUCAS MOLEFE and TAU FELIX KOALANE, committed on the wayto Bothshabelo; and
       (cc) the illegal possession of firearms and 14 rounds of ammunition;

11. on 29 January 2001 to THAPELO PATRICK MASEKO (identity number 580116581008), in respect of -
    1. the murder and/or attempted murder of unknown supporters of the ANC, committed at or near Vosloorus during or about 1990;
    2. the murder or attempted murder of unknown ANC supporters, committed at or near Manseville during or about 1990;
    3. the murder or attempted murder of an unknown person as well as the robbery of an amount of 8300,00, committed at or near Kloof Gold Mine, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    4. the pointing of a firearm at an unknown man and the robbery of an amount of R18 000,00, committed at or near Lebanon Gold Mine Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    5. the pointing of a firearm at an unknown man and the robbery of 8300,00, committed at or near Orlando East Garage, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    6. robbery, committed at or near Orlando West Garage, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    7. the attempted murder of a man, committed at or near Dube Garage, Gauteng;
    8. the robbery of a .38 firearm and an amount of 850,00 during or about 1990;
    9. the robbery of an amount of 8300,00, committed at or near Nancefield Garage, Gauteng, during or about 1990 ;
    10. attempted robbery, committed at or near Kliptown Garage, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    11. the pointing of a firearm at unknown persons, committed in or near Lebanon AK Stores, Lebanon Gold Mines, Gauteng, and the robbery of an unknown amount of money;
    12. the murder and attempted murder of an unknown number of members of the South African Police Force, committed at or near Lebanon Gold Mines, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    13. the murder of one person and the attempted murder of an unknown number of persons and armed robbery of an amount of R3 000,00, committed at or near Lebanon Eating House, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    14. the armed robbery of a Kombi, committed at or near Lebanon Eating House, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    15. the murder or attempted murder of an unknown number of members of the South African Police, committed at or near Diepkloof Police Station, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    16. the possession of hand-grenades;
    17. the murder of an unknown person, committed at or near Chicken Farm Squatter Camp at or near Kliptown, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    18. the unlawful pointing of a firearm and robbery of an amount of R3 000,00, committed at or near Mohlekeng Post Office, at or near Mohlekeng Power Station, Gauteng, during or about 1990;
    19. the murder of an unknown police officer and attempted murder of an unknown number of members of the South African Police,
    20. the robbery of firearms, committed at or near Mohlekeng Power Station, Gauteng, during or about 1990; and (xxi) the contravention of the provisions of the Explosives Act and Arms and Ammunition Act, committed during 1990; and
12. on 30 January 2001 to -
    1. THULANI JEROME DLUDLA (identity number 7206295684084), in respect of the murder of VUSUMUZI LEMBETHE, committed at or near Emankwanyaneni Reserve, Lower Umfolozi, on or about 30 January 1994;
    2. SEAN MARKCALLAGHAN (identity number6404195093088), in respect of -

       (aa) any crime or delict resulting from the following: -

       1. shooting at and mutilating the body of an unknown dead SWAPO member, committed during a skirmish with SWAPO in or near Angola during or about 1983; and
       2. the participation in the practice of tying corpses to the bumpers and mud guards of Casspirs, committed in or near Angola during or about 1983; and
