PROCLAMATION
by the President of the Republic of South Africa
DECLARATION OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL AND HAILSTORM IN THE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICTS OF ESTCOURT AND LADYSMITH IN KWAZULU-NATAL PROVINCE TO BE A DISASTER
Under the powers in me by Section 26 of the Fund Raising Act, 1978 (Act No. 107 of 1978), I hereby declare the heavy rainfall and hailstorm that occurred on the 22nd December 2001 in the Magisterial District of Estcourt (including the area of Wembezi-Township) and Ladysmith Magisterial District (including the area of Wembezi-Township) and Ladysmith Magisterial District (including the areas of Acaciaville East and part of St Chads) in the KwaZulu-Natal Province, to be a disaster for the purposes of this Act.
