PROCLAMATION
by the President of the Republic of South Africa
DECLARATION OF THE FLOODS THAT OCCURRED IN THE PROVINCE OF THE WESTERN CAPE TO BE A DISASTER
Under the powers vested in me by section 26 of the Fund-Raising Act, 1978 (Act No. 107 of 1978), I hereby declare the floods that caused severe damage since 16 July 2001 in the Magisterial Districts of the Province of the Western Cape, namely: Browns Farm, Phola Park, KTC, Monwood, Oscar Mpetha, Marcus Catrey Rasta Village, New Rest, Tambo Square, Schaapkraal, Millers Park, Kosovo, Philippi, Sweet Home, Cross Roads and certain areas of Athlone to be a disaster for the purposes of this Act.
Given under my Hand and Seal of the Republic of South Africa at Johannesburg this Twenty-seventh day of August, Two Thousand and One.
