by the President of the Republic of South Africa
COMMENCEMENT OF CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE FIREARMS CONTROL ACT 2000 (ACT NO. 60 OF 2000)
In terms of section 154 of the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act No 60 of 2000), I hereby determine 1 June 2001 as the date on which sections 1(ii), (iii), (iv), (vi), (xii), (xxiii), 2, 5, 113, 120(1)(a) and (c), 121, 140 and Schedule 4 to the extent that it relates to the penalties prescribed for a contravention of section 140(2), shall come into operation.
