PROCLAMATION
by the President of the Republic of South Africa
REMUNERATION OF PUBLIC OFFICE BEARERS ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 20 OF 1998)
Under section 5(1) of the Remuneration of Public Office Bearers Act, 1998 (Act No. 20 of 1998), I hereby, after consultation with the Premiers concerned, determine that, with effect from 1 April 2000-
members of the National House of Traditional Leaders shall, in addition to their salaries as traditional leaders, be entitled to an allowance in respect of actual meetings of the National House of Traditional Leaders, or a committee thereof, as set out in the Schedule; and
members of a provincial House of Traditional Leaders shall, in addition to their salaries as traditional leaders, be entitled to an allowance in respect of actual meetings of the provincial House of Traditional Leaders concerned, or a committee thereof, as set out in the Schedule.
