by the President of the Republic of South Africa
COMMENCEMENT OF THE JUSTICE LAWS RATIONALISATION ACT, 1996 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1996)
Under section 18 of the Justice Laws Rationalisation Act, 1996 (Act No. 18 of 1996), I hereby determine 1 August 2000 as the date on which the Act shall come into operation in so far as it repeals Decree No. 4 (Ombudsman) of 1988 (Decree No. 4 of 1988), applicable in the affected territory of the former Transkei, and the Qwaqwa Ombudsman Act, 1987 (Act No. 6 of 1987), applicable in the affected territory of the former Qwaqwa.
