COMMENCEMENT OF THE REMAINING SECTIONS OF THE
NATIONAL WATER ACT, 1998
(ACT NO. 36 OF 1998)
In terms of section 164 of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No.36 of 1998), read with section 13(3) of the Interpretation Act, 1957 (Act No. 33 of 1957), I hereby determine 1 October 1999 as the date on which the remaining sections of the National Water Act, 1998 will come into effect, namely, sections 33(4), 37, 38, 40-42, 56 -60 and 163(1) (the remaining items of Schedule 7).
