by the President of the Republic of South Africa
COMMENCEMENT OF THE COMPETITION AMENDMENT ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 89 of 1998)In terms of section 84 of the Competition Amendment Act, 1998 (Act No. 89 of 1998), I hereby determine 1 September 1999 as the date on which Sections 4, 5, and 7 to 10 (Chapter 2); Sections 12 to 18 (Chapter 3); Sections 44 to 58 (Chapter 5); Sections 59 to 68 (Chapter 6); Sections 69 to 77 (Chapter 7); Sections 80 to 83 (Chapter 8); and Schedule 1; Schedule 2 and Schedule 3 of the said Act shall come into operation.
