PROCLAMATION

by the President of the Republic of South Africa

ASSIGNMENT OF LAWS TO THE PROVINCE OF THE EASTERN CAPE UNDER ITEM 14 (1) OF SCHEDULE 6 TO THE CONSTITUION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA, 1996

Under item 14 (1) of Schedule 6 to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996), I hereby

  1. assign the administration of the laws specified in the first column of the Schedule to the authority within the provincial executive designated by the Executive Council of the Province of the Eastern Cape; and
  2. determine that the said laws are assigned to the extent specified opposite each such law in the second column of the Schedule in so far as such law is applicable in a part of the Province of the Eastern Cape.
