PROCLAMATION
by the President of the Republic of South Africa
COMMENCEMENT OF THE JUSTICE LAWS RATIONALISATION ACT, 1996 (ACT No. 18 OF 1996)
Under section 18 of the Justice Laws Rationalisation Act, 1996 (Act No. 18 of 1996), I hereby determine 1 April 1999 as the date on which the Act shall come into operation in so far as it repeals the Ombudsman Act, 1986 (Act No. 9 of 1986) and Ombudsman Amendment Act, 1991 (Act No. 39 of 1991), applicable in the affected territory of the former Bophuthatswana.
