PROCLAMATION
by the President of the Republic of South Africa
COMMENCEMENT OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE CORRECTIONAL SERVICES ACT, 1998 (ACT No.111 OF 1998) AND REPEAL OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE CORRECTIONAL SERVICES ACT, 1959 (ACT No. 8 OF 1959)
In terms of section 138 of the Correctional Services Act, 1998 (Act No.111 of 1998), I hereby determine 19 February 1999 as the date on which sections 1, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 97, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 134, 135, 136 and 138 of Act No. 111 of 1998 shall come into operation and I further hereby determine 19 February 1999 as the date on which sections 5, 5B, 20, 20A, 20B, 20C, 20D, 20E, 20F, 20G, 20H, 20I, 20J, 20K, 25, 25A, 25B, 25C, 25D, 25E, 25F, 25G, 25H, 25I, 25J, 61 and 64 of Act No. 8 of 1959 shall be repealed.
