ESTABLISHMENT OF DIVORCE COURTS UNDER SECTION 10 (1) (a) OF THE ADMINISTRATION AMENDMENT ACT, 1929

Under section 10 (1 ) (a) of the Administration Amendment Act, 1929 (Act No. 9 of 1929), I hereby establish the Divorce Courts mentioned in the Schedule which shall have jurisdiction, as contemplated in section 10 (1) of the said Act, to hear and determine suits relating to the nullity of a marriage and relating to divorce between persons and to decide upon any question arising therefrom.

Proclamations Nos. R. 266 of 20 September 1968 and R. 113 of 29 July1983 are hereby repealed.

SCHEDULE

1. The North Eastern Divorce Court, with jurisdiction within the area of jurisdiction determined by the Minister of Justice by notice in the Gazette.
2. The Southern Divorce Court, with jurisdiction within the area of jurisdiction determined by the Minister of Justice by notice in the Gazette.
3. The Central Divorce Court, with jurisdiction within the area of jurisdiction determined by the Minister of Justice by notice in the Gazette.
