COMMENCEMENT OF THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE AMENDMENT ACT, 1996 (ACT NO. 86 OF 1996)

Under section 14 of the Criminal Procedure Amendment Act, 1996 (Act No. 86 of 1996), I hereby determine 1 September 1997 as the date on which the said Act shall come into operation, except section 2, section 11 and section 13 in so far as it inserts subsections (3) (e) and (5) of section 342A in the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (Act No. 51 of 1997).
