ASSIGNMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PERFORMING ANIMALS PROTECTION ACT, 1935 (ACT NO. 24 OF 1935), AND THE ANIMALS PROTECTION ACT, 1962 (ACT NO. 71 OF 1962), TO THE MINISTER FOR AGRICULTURE AND LAND AFFAIRS

Under section 97 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996), I hereby assign the administration of the Performing Animals Protection Act, 1935 (Act No. 24 of 1935), and the Animals Protection Act, 1962 (Act No. 71 of 1962), which is entrusted to the Minister of Justice and which entrust powers and functions to the said Minister, to the Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs.
