COMMENCEMENT OF THE JUSTICE LAWS RATIONALISATION ACT, 1996 (ACT No. 18 OF 1996)
Under section 18 of the Justice Laws Rationalisation Act, 1996 (Act No. 18 of 1996), I hereby determine 1 April 1997 as the date on which the Act shall come into operation, except-
(a) the extension of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1944 (Act No. 32 of 1944), in terms of section 2 of the Act to the area which immediately before 27 April 1994 formed part of the territory of the Selfgoverning territory of Lebowa; and
(b) the repeal in terms of section 3 of the Act of the laws specified in column 1 hereunder in the areas indicated in the third column:
