PROCLAMATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 20 (6) OF THE PROMOTION OF NATIONAL UNITY AND RECONCILIATION ACT, 1995 (ACT No. 34 OF 1995)

Notice is hereby given -

1. that on 9 December 1996 amnesty was granted in terms of section 20 (6) of Act No. 34 of 1995, to -

RICHARD JOSEPH JOHN CROWE

IDENTITY NUMBER: 5502165016080

in respect of the following offences in the district of Port Elizabeth:

Attempted arson relating to a studio of art and design of the Port Elizabeth Technikon, Eastern Cape, by attempting to ignite a 182 l drum (44 gallons) containing diesel fuel during the latter half of 1986;

alternatively

an attempt to cause malicious injury to property at the said studio during the same period;

2. that on 23 January 1997 amnesty was granted in terms of section 20 (6) of Act No. 34 of 1995, to -

in respect of the following offences in the North West Province:

1. The murder of Nzimeni Abednego Mazwi at Khuma Township, Stilfontein, on 30 October 1990; and
2. attempted murder on Charles Mhlabiso at Khuma Township, Stilfontein, on 30 October 1990.

1. The murder of David Mayeko; and
