DECLARATION OF THE FLOODS IN THE REGIONAL AUTHORITIES OF THE SOUTH CAPE DISTRICT COUNCIL AND THE KLEIN KAROO REGIONAL COUNCIL TO BE A DISASTER

Under the powers vested in me by section 26 of the Fund-raising Act, 1978 (Act No. 107 of 1978), I hereby declare the floods which occurred on 21-26 November 1996 within the Regional Authorities of the South Cape District Council and the Klein Karoo Regional Council to be a disaster for the purposes of this Act.
