President Thabo Mbeki will on Wednesday, 31 July 2002, sign the Electronic Communication and Transactions Bill into law. For the first time in the history of South Africa, an advanced electronic signature will be used to sign a Bill.
The signing ceremony will take place at the Union Buildings, West Wing, at 12h30. Journalists are humbly requested to be at the venue by 12h00, as no movement will be allowed thereafter.
