Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Penuell Maduna welcomes the sentences imposed against three Pagad members on Tuesday.
The minister congratulates prosecutors and the investigating officers for their excellent work in securing the convictions despite the difficulties they were faced with in this case.
This will send a clear message that crime no matter where it's committed will be punished.
We furthermore believe that this again sends out a message that nobody is allowed to take the law into their own hands.
