President Mbeki learnt with sadness of the passing away of Marinus Daling yesterday and expressed condolences to the family and friends of Marinus Daling. He wishes them strength and patience during this difficult time.
Marinus Daling, the former Chairman of Sanlam played an important role in South Africa's economic development. He was also a member of the International Marketing Council, and although his tenure in the IMC was not a long one, he always made valuable contributions. He will be sorely missed.
