Government has noted the action undertaken by the Directorate of Special Operations on matters pertaining to the arms procurement package.
Government fully supports the continued investigation; the law must take its course and must be seen to do so.
It should be emphasised however, that as the report of the investigators said, these investigations do not detract from the key findings and recommendations.
Key amongst these, is that there was nothing untoward with regard to the primary contracting process.
We also wish to reaffirm the principle that any citizen is innocent until proven otherwise.
