President Mbeki will launch Tshumisano - the Integrated Rural Development Programme of government - tomorrow in the Kgalagadi Cross-Boundary District Municipality on the boundary of the Northern Cape and the North West Provinces.
Media are invited to accompany the President as he visits a bakery project and switches on the electricity at a project in Bendell. He will also visit a site where an access road is in the process of being built and then officially launch the programme accompanied by Ministers and Premiers.
The programme for the day, Saturday, 7 July 2001 is as follows:
08H15: President Mbeki arrives at Bendell soccer field
08h20: President Mbeki visits bakery project
09h00: President Mbeki switches on electricity
10h35: Access road project near Bothitong soccer field
11h00: Bothitong soccer field for launch of Tshumisano
