President Mbeki today sent a message of condolence to the family and the Lobedu Community for the untimely death of Queen Makope Modjadji (The Rain Queen). The Presidency acknowledges the contribution made by the queen in preserving the Lobedu culture and the contributions she made in our democratic dispensation. May her soul rest in peace.
