The Department of Foreign Affairs has taken note of the Constitutional Court Judgement handed down today, Monday 28 May, regarding the extradition of Mr Mohamed Khalfan to the USA.
The Department together with the Justice Department and the Safety and Security Ministry will most certainly have to study the full text and implications of the judgement before a comprehensive statement and course of action cab be developed in this regard. Nonetheless, the Department reiterates its respect for the decision of the Constitutional Court on this matter.
