Freedom Day Celebrations is an annual event that takes place on the 27 April each year. This day marks the demise of oppressive system of Government and the triumph of Democracy in South Africa. It pays tribute to heroes and heroines of the struggle for National Liberation who lost life and limb for the benefit of the masses of this Country. The day affords the South African people an opportunity to reflect in the past and on the gains that we have achieved.
