KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Mr S'be Ndebele has expressed his condolences to the family and colleagues of Mrs Mado Modise, wife of famous radio and television personality Tim Modise, who died yesterday (2001-03-21) in a motor vehicle crash outside Waterkloof near Pretoria.
It is alleged that Mrs Modise was travelling from Pretoria towards Johannesburg between 19h00 and 20h00 last night when the crash occurred. Mrs Modise leaves behind her husband and 2 children.
Just last week, Tim Modise was the first and only person to be awarded the Justice and Reconciliation Award by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission for his contribution towards justice and reconciliation in South Africa. It is extremely sad that Tim had to loose his wife at a time when his family should be celebrating the honour of such am award being bestowed upon him.
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go to Tim and his family who have to deal with such a terrible tragedy at this time.
