President Thabo Mbeki will hold a meeting with the Agriculture Working Group at the Union Buildings tomorrow (Tuesday, 13 March).
Discussions are expected to include the following issues: proposals on Land Reform and Farmer Development; feedback on the agriculture Indaba; integrated rural development strategy; follow-up on the State of the Nation address and proposals on improving rural safety.
The President will be accompanied by the Ministers of Agriculture, Labour, and Public Works, and by the Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Finance.
There will be a photo opportunity just before the start of the meeting at 09H00 and a short media briefing by the Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Thoko Msane-Didiza, will be held immediately after the meeting at 12H00.
