The MEC for Education, Ignatius Jacobs will launch the new Bsc Honours in Science Education for senior mathematics and science educators today, the 26 February 2001 at Wits Theatre , Jorrisen Street at 18h00.
Wits is in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Education in its effort to solve the crisis in maths and science education in our province and country.
About 40 educators from Soweto, Soshanguve and Vaal will be part of this Programme that will enhance their skills in maths and science. They will further use these skills to educate our learners in historically disadvantaged communities.
