The Ministry of Communications is engaged in the formulation of policy for a new telecommunications policy. Towards this end the Ministry intends to convene a national colloquium on Monday and Tuesday 29 / 30 January 2001 in Gauteng. The venue will be announced in the media in early January.
In support of the colloquium, the Ministry invites interested parties, stakeholders and the general public to caucus and deliberate in advance of the colloquium to facilitate the formulation of a new policy.
The Department of Communications is prepared to facilitate access to venues for needy groups for the purpose of deliberating issues and preparing a submission to the new policy process.

Concise recommendations should be limited to a maximum of 20
pages (no annexures, A4 pages, arial font x 12, Microsoft
compatible; submissions must be accompanied by a disk version) and
