THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, DULLAH OMAR ON THE PLANE CRASH NEAR LENASIA

The Minister of Transport, Dullah Omar has learned with shock about a plane crash in Lenasia, South of Johannesburg this afternoon. Three people were killed in the accident. "We have requested the Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the causes of this accident", Omar said. By this afternoon, two investigators from the CAA were dispatched to the site of the accident to gather all preliminary information.

"We are trying to ascertain who the owners of the plane are and to understand also where the plane came from and where it was going to", Omar added. He conveyed his condolences to the families and relatives of the three people who were onboard the plane. More information will be made available as soon it becomes available.
