Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma returned to South Africa on Tuesday, October 17, after a six nation visit.
The Minister together with Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister Sule Lamido held bilateral discussions with the King of Morocco his Majesty Mohamed VI at the Royal Palace, Casablanca, on Monday. They discussed bilateral issues, including the western Sahara question and agreed to continue to interact on the issues in due course.
The Minister also visited China where she attended Africa-China co-operation forum. She accompanied President Thabo Mbeki to Nigeria, Senegal and Ghana before proceeding to London where she attended a meeting of foreign affairs heads of mission (ambassadors) to discuss the process of transformation in the department.
On Wednesday October 18 Dlamini-Zuma will accompany Mbeki to a three-day visit to Rwanda where South has been requested to assist in the reconciliation process.
