Three former apartheid security policemen who were operating from the
Vlakplaas farm outside Pretoria will appear before the Amnesty Committee of the TRC for killing an informer, Adriaano Bambo in 1996.
The committee will consider amnesty applications Eugene De Kok, Dawid Brits and Daniel Snyman. Those implicated by the applicants include General Krappies Engelbrecht, Captain Willem Coetzee Brigadier Human and Kaptein Johannes Petrus Koekemoer.
The applicants claim they killed bambo because he had committed a robbery, and that they feared he could reveal sensitive information about hit-squad operations.
The matter has been scheduled for three days at the Idasa Centre in Pretoria, corner Prinsloo and Visagie Streets. The hearings start at 9.30am.
