At the invitation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, Hon Eriya Kategaya, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Africa is visiting Uganda from 14 to 16 August 2000.
The two Ministers will be having detailed discussions on a wide range of bilateral and regional issues including the development of bilateral trade, the implementation of the Lusaka Cease-Fire Agreement and progress regarding the Burundi Peace Process.
The two sides will also exchange views on, inter alia, the reform of the UN Security Council, debt relief and South-South cooperation.
The visit will underscore the significant and strong ties between the two countries.
