The President of the German Bundestag (Speaker), Mr Wolfgang Thierse will be visiting the South African Parliament as a guest of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Frene Ginwala from 16 - 19 April 2000.
Mr Thierse, will arrive in Cape Town on Sunday, 16 April and will also join members of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum, at a reception dinner hosted by the Mayor of Cape Town, Ms Nomaindia Mfeketo.
On Monday, 17 April, Mr Thierse will meet the chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP), Mrs Naledi Pandor, the Chairpersons the Portfolio Committees of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry and the whips of political parties in Parliament.
