Cape Town - The Minister of Communications Dr Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri on Wednesday noted the decision by the Pretoria High Court in granting interim relief to Nextcomm.
SATRA has been ordered to communicate its final recommendation to all the applicants for the third cellular licence at the same time as the recommendation is forwarded to the Minister.
According to the order, the Minister is prevented from acting on SATRA's recommendation for a period of five days.
In her response to the ruling Minister Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri said: "The court has given its judgement and I will comply with the terms of the order. At present its not clear why the applicants are given the five-day window period. However we await the full reasoned judgement, due to be delivered on 3rd May."
