The hearing into a cross-border operation led by Eugene De Kock and a group of Askaris has been postponed pending a high court application. The hearing was scheduled to be heard today, February 23.
The high court intervention is on behalf of Frans Labuschagne by his lawyer, Roelof Duplessis for condonation of Labuschagne's late filing of his amnesty application. De Kock, Labuschagne and the Askaris crossed to Swaziland with the aim of abducting an Mk member, Solly Shoke. During a scuffle, Shoke managed to hit one of the Askaris with an axe and disarmed him. Implicated Askaris were V. Ndam, Xola Frank Mbane, Chris Mogopa, Chippa and Glory Sedibe. The date of the next sitting will be decided after the high court decision.
