The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Zuma will on Thursday 16 December travel to Rwanda to sign a General Agreement on Bilateral Co-operation between the South African Government and the Government of the Republic of Rwanda.
Her delegation will include the Minister of Agriculture, Ms Thoko Didiza, the Director-General of Agriculture, Ms Bongiwe Njobe and officials from Foreign Affairs.
On 17 December 1999, Dr Zuma will leave Rwanda for Tanzania, to attend the Ministerial Conference on Security, Stability, Development and Co-operation in Africa (CSSDCA) to be held in Arusha, from 18-19 December 1999.
The meeting of the CSSDCA Steering Committee which will be chaired by Nigeria will be attended by Foreign Ministers from across the African continent.

Apart from these meetings Minister Zuma will also discuss the situation in the DRC in the light of the negative reports on the alleged violations of the Lusaka peace deal.
During her absence, the Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Jeff Radebe will be acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
She is expected back in South Africa on Sunday, 19 December 1999.
