PRESIDENT BEDIE OF COTE D’IVOIRE RECEIVES TRANSPORT MINISTER DULLAH OMAR

The Minister of Transport, Dullah Omar, arrived in Abidjan, capital of Cote d’Ivoire on Friday on his way to Yamoussoukro to attend a Conference of African Ministers on Aviation.

Yesterday Minister Omar paid his respects to President Bedi. He was received by the President together with the Prime Minister and Transport Minister of Cote d’Ivoire. During the meeting co-operation between Cote d’Ivoire and South Africa was discussed in respect of aviation matters, tourism, trade and industry.

"The relationship between Cote d’Ivoire and South Africa is good and the prospects for closer co-operation in a number of areas are also very good", said President Bedi. This evening Minister Omar joins the Presidential plane which will take Ministers to Yamoussoukro for the Ministers meeting.
