The Minister of Foreign Affairs, DR. N.C. Dlamini-Zuma will be leaving for Libya on Saturday, 4 September 1999, to attend an Extra-Ordinary Session of the OAU.
The meeting was mandated by the OAU Summit in Algiers to look at the mechanisms of injecting efficiency and effectiveness of the OAU.
Following that mandate, the OAU Council of Ministers will meet in Sirte, Libya from 6th - 7th September 1999.
The meeting will deliberate on issues which will be dealt with by OAU Heads of State and Government Summit to be held from 8-9 September 1999.
