MANDELA'S LAST CABINET MEETING

President Nelson Mandela will be attending his last Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, 9 June 1999.

The President and three of his ministers will be retiring from office after the inauguration of the President-elect Thabo Mbeki on 16 June.

For Foreign Affairs Minister Alfred Nzo, Defence Minister Joe Modise and Transport Minister Mac Maharaj, this cabinet meeting will also be their last.

This is a PHOTO OPPORTUNITY. Members of the media are requested to converge at the West Wing of the Union Building in Room 145 at 09:45 am.
