APPLICATIONS FOR INAUGURATION ACCREDITATION

This is a final reminder to all members of the media wishing to cover the inauguration of the new President of South Africa on 16 June 1999. Members of the media are requested to send to their applications for accreditation (including a letter from the editor stating who will convert the event and whether these members of the media are tv camera persons, sound crew, still photographers or print journalists; and photocopies of the front page of the identity book / passport of members of the press wishing to cover the event) by fax to the following fax numbers: (012) 326-0317 / 325-5966.

The deadline for media accreditation application is 12:00 on 3 June 1999.

Those members of the media who have already responded to the call for accreditation should note the following:

media accreditation will take place at the Centurion Cricket Ground at 04:30 on the morning of 16 June 1999. Members of the media will leave their vehicles at the Centurion Cricket Ground and be transported to the Union Buildings by official inauguration media shuttles. After the event, shuttles will be provided once again to transport member of the media back to the Centurion Cricket Ground.
