On Friday, 23 April 1999, Dr Penuell Maduna Minister of Minerals and Energy, will receive the report from the Task Team that he appointed last week to interact with De Beers and the South African Diamond Board regarding the problems that had been raised by De Beers.
The Director-General of the Department of Minerals and Energy, Adv Sandile Nogxina, who was appointed by Minister Maduna to head the Task Team reported: "We are on track. Once Minister Maduna has had time to study the report, we will communicate his decision on the matter".
